Section 12.1 Theories and Concepts of Motivation
In this section you will investigate the three broad categories of motivation, which can be further divided into six major theories. You will be introduced to biological, psychosocial, and biopsychosocial theories. Each of these categories views our motivations a bit differently from the others, although similarities can be found between them as well. No one theory explains our motivations perfectly, so an eclectic view is most appropriate.
