Section 9.6 Personality Development

This section examines two main concepts: Temperament and Psychosocial Development. Are we born with a specific behavioural style and set of characteristic emotional responses? In other words, can we predict what we will be like as adults based on how we behave as infants? Secondly, you will look at Erikson’s psychosocial stages which believe that there are critical crises that we encounter in life that help shape who we are.
